Karan S. Shakya

I am a PhD candidate in The Ohio State University's Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (AEDE).

My research interest is in Development and Environmental Economics. I am particularly interested in studying the drivers and consequences of environmental and agricultural changes, with a focus on how vulnerable communities are impacted by these stressors, particularly in terms of child and maternal welfare, and how households can build resilience to these shocks.

I completed my BA at Dickinson College with a major in Economics and Environmental Studies.

I am from Kathmandu, Nepal.
